Last year San Francisco based writers Chloe Schildhause and Sky Madden decided to take post-graduate delirium and underemployment into their own hands. Combating disproportional pay-to-work ratio and neglect from their respective industries (journalism and literature) they were inspired to invent something of their own. Ambitions to turn out a publication unique to the Bay Area and to the world became a reality when San Francisco designer Elizabeth Brown took on art direction responsibilities. From kernels of thought to 64 beet-stained pages Brown, wove together an unusual yet classic print publication. DECADES is proud to present its first of many issues on this night of searing guitars, art, drink and food. Try our pea soup.

Noveller (Sarah Lipstate) (pedal orchestra, fantastique, intense, layered and gorgeous)

Jealousy (super damaged one-man-band, imagine Dirty Beaches on a heroin bender, lights off please)

Tied to the Branches (delicate, oozing guitars and softie vox, digi drum set, slow moving and rad)

chasms (2 girls, one drum machine, loud as fuck, melts face, towers of blood)
