Xome is a harsh noise music project conceived and operated by Bob Scott. Xome first started experimenting with dissonant forms of music in 1989 but the first organized live performance in Tokyo in 1994 marks the true activation of the project. Now based in Sacramento, CA, Xome has evolved into a highly refined and extremely harsh noise music unit by means of improvised manipulation of sound generating and processing equipment.

Past Xome performances have shared the same bill with artists such as Incapacitants, C.C.C.C., Killer Bug, Merzbow, Otomo Yoshihide, Seiichi Yamamoto, (Boredoms, Omoide Hatoba), Violent Onsen Geisha, Pain Jerk, Death Squad, Government Alpha, TV Pow, Daniel Menche, Kazumoto Endo, K2, Emil Beaulieau, Melt Banana, MSBR, Stimbox, Prurient, Thomas Dimuzio, Cock E.S.P., Pedestrian Deposit, Black Leather Jesus, T.E.F., Sickness, Pop Culture Rape Victim, Vertonen, Guilty Connector and many, many more.

Christina Stanley and Daniel Steffey have been playing together in various groups since 2009.  Their music explores improvisation, sound texture, and graphic interpretations.  As a duet, their sound consists of violin, voice, computer, percussion, and analogue electronics.  Each member respectively brings his/her ideas and conceptualization of the sound direction in the form of spontaneous improvisation and careful planning.  Both being recent graduates from Mills College, they have played each others' music which can be heard at Christina's website:, and Daniel's website:
Christina Stanley is a bay area violinist, vocalist and artist. She holds an MFA from Mills College and a BM from San Francisco State University. She is currently interested in painting large graphic scores and combining acoustic instruments with Max/MSP.
(San Francisco resident Brandon Taylor) -managed to escape the redneck backwaters of florida in the late 1990's, moving to New York city to write music, heartworm nurtured a fevered output of Shattered breaks, pounding hardcore rythms and decimated time signatures combined with a healthy dose of skewed, absurdist humor and oddly arranged melody.
