On Friday the 13th, synth pop band Adonisaurus joins Tom Russotti and guest judge Fauxnique (Monique Jenkinson) to kick off an evening of debauchery as the Institute for Aesthletics presents a Drinking and Dancing Competition at The Lab.

Dancing and Drinking go hand in hand, yet they are often separated on the dance floor. The Drinking and Dancing Competition merges these two harmonious activities into one competitive event - dancing with drink-in-hand.

In order to score well, contestants coordinate their beverages with their dance, their partner, their music, and their liver. Stronger drinks get more points with the judges, as long as contestants stay on their feet! There will be two competitions: an open floor competition and a knockout tournament.

In each competition, pairs team up each with a cocktail in hand to woo the judges with their dancing and drinking skills. Dancers may select their own beverage as long as it is alcoholic. In the open floor competition, contestants will all dance to the same music. In the knockout tournament, dancers dance to their own pre-selected music. At the end of the night, two final drunken pairs will emerge as drinking and dancing champions.

The Lab will have beer, wine, vodka, gin, orange and cranberry juice, and Izze sodas on hand for dancers. Fancy drink design is encouraged, so entrants may bring their own ingredients.
