Club Sandwich is a volunteer-run all ages booking collective that produces events for under-the-radar musicians, bringing together both local and touring acts for high energy shows. Club Sandwich believes a healthy music scene depends on youth to incubate the next generation of artists who will provide an alternative to arena rock or church-sponsored all ages shows.

The Lab is proud to host the first in an ongoing series of all ages music events with Club Sandwich.
City Center was born in the headphone space of a Brooklyn bedroom, shelved between boredom, loneliness, and every available corner of the audible spectrum. Fred Thomas and Ryan Howard keep continually unravelling into an ever-expanding landscape of warmly washed out phychedeilia, where splintered samples and chillingly desolate drones somehow emerge in the form of soft summery pop songs.
For the past 15 years, Ben Bracken has slowly been creating a unique sonic language utilizing electronics, acoustic sound sources (guitar, cymbal, bells, found objects, etc), electric guitar, and field recordings. Primarily interested in the possibilities of a kind of echo-relocation that exists with sound based art, his work has oscillated from performance to installation, often blurring the lines between the two.   In both, the location of the event becomes an active participant, intimately shaping the nature and direction of each work.
